2018 MID-TERM ELECTIONS

Note from Greg:

Since the 1970s, I have made accurate election predictions. No idea why or how. In the four Gregslist Guarantees below, only one is thought likely, or even possible, as of this writing, October 23, 2018.

I remember college in 1979 when my frat buddy Ted and I were discussing the upcoming Canadian election. I guaranteed Pierre Elliot Trudeau, leader of the Liberal Party, would win the election handily. His opponent was a conservative, Joe Clark, a principled man but awful political candidate. I voted for Trudeau the senior twice, and my entire family in Montreal Quebec were staunch Liberals with a highly idealistic (and completely unrealistic) view on life.

In 1983, I left Canada and returned to the country of my birth, the United States. Like it was yesterday, I remember a desire to pursue the American Dream under the leadership of Ronald Reagan, and to start a business career with the approach and financial upside of then business giant Donald Trump. I was not infatuated with either man, but their message, optimism, and passion inspired me.

These two men reached the top of their respective fields (as Commoners really) and fueled a fire in my spirit. Perhaps these two men simply revealed the passion that lay silently.

As with Trudeau Sr., and the 2015 election of his son Justin, for some reason I am able to predict elections. Haven't been wrong yet, and I do understand I will be some day! The luck of the draw is always temporary, and I'll be the first to raise my hand and say I was wrong.

So, these are my GregsList Guarantees for the 2018 Mid-Term elections in the United States – and a bonus pick for the 2019 Canadian Federal Election.

1. The Republican Party will add seats in the U.S. Senate

2. The Republican Party will retain the House of Representatives in an historical upset

3. Ted Cruz will win Texas easily

4. Democrats and liberals everywhere will lose their collective minds!

Bonus Round: The next Canadian Prime Minister?….......
